Catalog Feature Requests

This is not a super pressing issue, but for schools with extensive catalogs it is hard to keep track of where you are in the navigation. A solution to this would be to add vertical lines to indicate indentation as reddit and visual studio code do.

Currently when a catalog is cloned it is assigned the same top and side navigations as the original. This is problematic as the catalog scope of those navigations will become inaccurate as pages get added or deleted. One solution would be to clone the sidebar by default whenever a catalog is cloned. Another would be to add a health check that the scope of the navigations assigned to a catalog is the same as the catalog itself (the picture below would violate the health check).

Navigation lists now need to have an assigned "catalog scope" and we have run into multiple issues with clients not realizing this. Additionally, we have run into the issue of clients assigning the same slug to multiple pages in the catalog, resulting in 404 errors. A simple fix would be to add two health checks: one that ensures that all navigation lists have an associated catalog scope, and another that ensures that each slug in the navigation is distinct.

Currently user management is tucked under the Class Schedule product but as users span multiple products a cross product admin area might make sense where the admin can view by users by product.

No matter how you line up the columns in the text editor in pages on catalog, when a table gets rendered the width of the columns seems to be a function of the longest text in said column. This makes the catalog look a bit sloppy when multiple tables are stacked atop one another:

Currently in the navigation editor, the cards you drag into the tree stay fixed at the top of the page as you scroll. This is fine at first, but once the catalog gets big it requires you to scroll to the top of the page and drag a card all the way down the tree to where you want to insert it which is tedious. A solution would be to have only the navigation tree move as you scroll and keep the cards available on the right side of the screen.

As of right now, the links at the top of the navbar must be white. When you set the color of the navbar to something other than a very dark color, you get an accessibility error due a low contrast between the navbar and the link text. The problem with this is that many schools have dark logos that are hard to make out on a dark background. Enabling the color of the text to change would resolve the issue.
