Justin, we have recommended course sequencing for each degree program in our catalog. In DW there is a Template builder. The templates are used for the Student Education Planner, where the student builds out the courses they take for each year they plan to study. The templates can be assigned to the student based on their degree and the student uses it as a starting point to build their plan of study. We are just upgrading to the Student Educational Planner in Degree Works from what was the old planner in DW. A file was used to transfer old to new. We still had to to do some changes as functional users to the converted plans based on new functionality but I don't see why this couldn't be predetermined and pushed into DW from Curriculum and Catalog? Also, in DW, Requisite is part of the DW prerequisite checking. We 'scribe' for prerequisites based on the courses in the program the student is required to take or could take. You can actually set DW's up to do prerequisite checking in banner registration or as a stand alone in the Student Education Planner to assist students with building their plan. If you can image a student could plan for a course that they haven't planned for the prerequisite they get a warning indicating they haven't planned for what they need to adjust their plan. We are currently setting up prerequisite checking for the Student Educational Planner. This would most definitely be auto generated scribe code.

Need more info on how this should work. Could folks provide more feedback on how they would like for this to work?
